How a Landing Page Helped Brisbane Structural Repairs Turn Clicks Into Clients

Brisbane Structural Repairs is one of South East Queensland’s most experienced structural repair companies. With over 30 years of hands-on industry experience, a 5.0 Google rating, and an HIA Renovation of the Year Award to their name, BSR has spent decades building a reputation for fixing the root cause of structural problems, not just the surface symptoms. Their services span underpinning, concrete repair, waterproofing, structural repairs, retaining wall repairs, and building defect remediation, servicing clients from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba, and beyond.

Despite their exceptional track record, BSR faced a challenge common to many trade-based businesses: their credibility wasn’t translating online. When potential clients arrived via Google, there was no purpose-built destination designed to capture that intent and turn it into a booked quote. That’s where Click Click Media came in.

Why Landing Pages Matter

For businesses running paid advertising, a landing page is one of the highest-leverage investments you can make. Unlike a homepage, which is designed to serve many different visitors with many different intentions, a landing page has a single job: to take a visitor who has already expressed interest and give them every reason to take the next step. When someone clicks a Google Ad, they arrive with a specific need and a short attention span. A well-designed landing page meets them exactly where they are, speaks directly to their problem, and makes it easy to act. The result is more conversions from the same ad spend, which means a lower cost per lead and a stronger return on investment overall. For trade-based businesses in particular, where a single booked job can be worth thousands of dollars, even a modest improvement in conversion rate can have a dramatic impact on the bottom line.

The Brief

BSR engaged Click Click Media to run Google Ads campaigns targeting high-intent search traffic across South East Queensland. But running ads without a dedicated, optimised landing page is like turning on a tap with no bucket underneath. To maximise the return on their ad spend and ensure every click had the best possible chance of converting, we needed to build a landing page from scratch, one that communicated trust, authority, and clarity from the very first scroll.

The brief was clear: design a page that reflects BSR’s 30-year reputation, speaks directly to homeowners and commercial clients in the moment they need help, and makes it as frictionless as possible for a visitor to take action.

The Design Strategy

Leading with Authority, Not Just Services

One of the most important decisions in the design process was determining what the hero section needed to accomplish. For a structural repair company, trust is the primary purchase driver. A homeowner dealing with foundation cracks or a crumbling retaining wall isn’t shopping around for the cheapest option. They want someone licensed, experienced, and reliable.

The hero section was built to address exactly that. The headline, “Experts in Structural Repairs & Building Solutions”, is direct and category-defining, leaving no ambiguity about what BSR does. Beneath the headline, a tight subheading reinforces the depth of their experience and scope of services, while three trust indicators sit prominently in the navigation bar: 30+ Years of Industry Experience, Licensed & Insured Builders, and Client-Focused Approach. These aren’t buried at the bottom of the page; they’re part of the very first thing a visitor sees.

The hero also displays BSR’s 5.0 Google star rating with the Google logo, and badges for their QBCC Builders Licence and HIA membership, two credibility signals that matter enormously to Queensland homeowners who need to know they’re dealing with a fully compliant, award-recognised builder. A strong, high-resolution construction photograph fills the background, immediately grounding the page in the physical reality of the work BSR does.

Two CTAs appear in the hero, a phone number and a “Request a Quote” button, ensuring that regardless of where a visitor is in their decision-making, there’s an obvious next step right in front of them.

A Clean Service Showcase with a Scrolling Carousel

Below the hero, the page transitions into a services overview under the heading “Comprehensive Solutions for Structural & Building Issues.” Rather than listing services as text, the design uses a horizontally scrolling image carousel, each tile pairing a real project photograph with a service name: Underpinning, Concrete Repair, Waterproofing, Structural Repairs, Retaining Wall Repairs, and Building Defect Repair.

This approach serves two purposes. First, it lets visitors self-identify quickly. If someone is here because they noticed cracks in their concrete slab, they can see Concrete Repair represented visually and know immediately that BSR handles exactly their situation. Second, it introduces visual variety and keeps the page engaging without overwhelming the user with walls of text. Good UX design is about reducing friction at every step, and the carousel achieves that by letting the visitor’s eye do the work. It includes a secondary CTA row beneath it, reinforcing the call to action at a point where the visitor has just been introduced to BSR’s full offering.

Demystifying the Process: Three Steps to Confidence

A recurring barrier in the trades industry is that prospective clients don’t know what happens after they make contact. What does the process look like? Will there be unexpected costs? How long will it take?

The “From Inspection to Completion, We Make It Easy” section tackles this head-on with a clean, three-step process breakdown, each step accompanied by a custom icon:

  1. Get in Touch: Leave your details or call; the team responds promptly.
  2. On-Site Inspection & Free Quote: A site visit is conducted and a no-obligation written quote is provided.
  3. Repairs Begin: Once approved, the work begins.

The language is deliberately reassuring (“stress-free,” “no-obligation,” “confidence and care”). Paired with a clean, airy layout, this section reduces anxiety and removes a significant psychological barrier to conversion. The section ends with another phone number and quote CTA, a pattern that repeats throughout the page to ensure a CTA is always visible within a reasonable scroll distance.

The Dark-Panel Trust Section: “Built on Experience. Trusted for Results.”

Midway through the page, the design introduces a full-width dark-background section that creates a strong visual contrast and signals a shift in tone. This is where BSR’s credentials are laid out in full. The copy is confident without being boastful, and the layout uses a clean icon-plus-text format to surface five key differentiators:

  • 30+ Years of Industry Experience
  • Licensed & Insured Builders
  • HIA Renovation of the Year Award Winner (2009, Finalist 2010 & 2012)
  • Proven Track Record in Live Environments
  • Transparent, Client-Focused Approach

This section is positioned deliberately in the middle of the page, after the user has been introduced to the services and process, but before they reach the testimonials and the final push to convert. By this point, a visitor who was previously on the fence has been given a compelling reason to keep reading.

A full-bleed, desaturated background image of a builder at work reinforces the section without competing with the text, a careful balance between visual richness and readability. This kind of considered visual hierarchy is a hallmark of strong custom web design.

We Fix the Root of the Problem, Not Just the Cracks”

This section is one of the strongest pieces of brand-aligned copy on the page, and the design gives it room to breathe. Set against a white background with a three-column card layout, each card addresses a distinct customer concern:

  • Built for Peace of Mind: addresses quality and longevity
  • Trusted Across South East Queensland: addresses geographic reach and local familiarity
  • Licensed, Experienced, Thorough: addresses compliance and professionalism

The headline itself is doing significant conversion work. “We Fix the Root of the Problem, Not Just the Cracks” speaks directly to the frustration many property owners have experienced with tradespeople who apply surface fixes that don’t last. It positions BSR as the antithesis of that, thorough, principled, and technically rigorous. For a visitor who has been burned before, this headline alone can be the tipping point.

Social Proof: Testimonials That Tell a Story

The testimonials section features a sliding carousel of three detailed client reviews, each one long-form enough to feel genuine and specific enough to build confidence. They’re attributed to named clients from across BSR’s service region: Gold Coast, Brisbane, and the Sunshine Coast.

The reviews aren’t generic praise. They speak to the specific experience of working with BSR, the communication, the transparency, the technical competence, and the peace of mind that came from working with a licensed builder. These are the kinds of details that resonate with someone who is weighing up whether to call.

The carousel format keeps the section compact while allowing multiple testimonials to be featured, a smart choice that avoids the visual monotony of stacking three large review blocks on top of each other.

The About Section: Grounded, Local, Proven

The “Your Trusted Local Builders in South East Queensland” section functions as a compact About Us, and critically, it stays focused on the customer’s perspective rather than becoming a self-congratulatory company bio. A bulleted list of six proof points reinforces credentials concisely:

  • Decades of Industry Experience You Can Count On
  • Fully Licensed, Fully Compliant
  • Recognised by HIA for excellence in renovations and construction
  • Experts in Live & Occupied Site Repairs
  • Solutions That Fix the Root Cause
  • Locals Who Know Local Conditions

The emphasis on being local is a deliberate and smart move for a service-area business. “Locals Who Know Local Conditions” isn’t just a feel-good line. It implies an understanding of Queensland’s soil conditions, climate challenges, and building codes that an out-of-area competitor simply can’t match.

The Photo Grid: Letting the Work Speak

Near the bottom of the page, a multi-image grid of real project photography gives visitors a final, visual affirmation that BSR does exactly what the page promises. These are shots from active job sites, builders at work, structural environments, real conditions. There’s no stock imagery; every photo is grounded in BSR’s actual work.

This section doesn’t need headlines or body copy. It communicates confidence through evidence.

The Final CTA: Low Friction, High Visibility

The page closes with a clean, dark-background CTA band, “Need Structural Repairs? Let’s Talk.”, paired with both a phone number and a “Request a Quote” button. The sticky navigation bar maintains both CTAs at the top of the screen throughout the entire scroll journey, meaning a visitor who becomes ready to act at any point can do so instantly without scrolling back up.

The quote form itself is thorough but not daunting. It collects name, phone, email, company, and a message field, and even allows file and photo uploads so clients can submit photos of their damage directly. This is a meaningful piece of UX thinking: for structural repairs, a photo is worth a thousand words, and allowing clients to attach images upfront accelerates the qualification and quote process for BSR’s team.

The Results

The numbers tell a compelling story. Landing pages across the digital marketing industry typically convert at somewhere between 2% and 5%. A well-optimised landing page in a competitive trade services niche might push toward 10% with strong copy and design.

Brisbane Structural Repairs’ landing page has achieved an 18% all-time conversion rate, with a 15% conversion rate over the past 30 days, figures that place it well into the top tier of performance for any industry, let alone one as competitive as structural repairs in South East Queensland.

These results are the product of intentional design decisions made at every level of the page: the trust signals in the hero, the transparent process steps, the authority-building mid-page section, the region-specific social proof, and the persistent, low-friction CTAs. Combined with Click Click Media’s Google Ads management driving qualified, high-intent traffic to the page, BSR now has a digital presence that is actively converting strangers into booked clients.

What Made This Work

Several principles underpinned the success of this project, and they’re worth naming explicitly:

  1. Traffic and destination were designed together. Google Ads and the landing page weren’t treated as separate workstreams. The page was built to receive the specific kind of visitor that paid search delivers, someone with a problem, looking for a solution, ready to act. That alignment between ad messaging and landing page content is a core reason conversion rates are this high.
  2. Trust was the primary design goal, not aesthetics. The page looks polished and professional, but every visual decision was made in service of credibility. The QBCC badge, the HIA logo, the Google rating, the award history, these aren’t decorative. They’re conversion elements.
  3. The copy speaks to fear and resolution. Structural damage is stressful. Homeowners arriving on this page are often anxious. The copy throughout the page, from “stress-free process” to “We Fix the Root of the Problem”, acknowledges that anxiety and resolves it through reassurance, authority, and clarity.
  4. CTAs were treated as a navigation system. Rather than placing a single CTA at the top and bottom, the page features CTAs at every natural pause point in the scroll. A visitor who decides they’re ready after reading the process steps doesn’t have to scroll back to the top; the next action is always immediately available.
  5. The design respects the visitor’s time. Information is dense but not cluttered. Sections are well-spaced and scannable. A visitor can get a complete picture of who BSR is and why they should call within 60 seconds of arriving, and if they want more detail, it’s all there.

When Strategy and Design Work Together

Brisbane Structural Repairs came to Click Click Media with strong expertise and a hard-won reputation. What they needed was a digital presence capable of communicating that reputation to a cold audience in the moments that matter most. The landing page we designed and built does exactly that, and the 18% all-time conversion rate is the clearest possible validation that the strategy worked.

For businesses in competitive trade services markets, the lesson is straightforward: Google Ads can drive traffic, but it’s the quality of the destination that determines whether that traffic becomes revenue. Getting both right, as we did here with BSR, is how you build a digital marketing engine that genuinely grows a business.
