Franchise SEO Agency in Sydney
Every location found in its own suburbs, without 40 copies of the same page. SEO built for franchise networks.
- National visibility with suburb-level local rankings
- Franchise results for Motiv8sports, Jim’s Group, Pro-Cut, SILK Laser Clinics and Fox Mowing
- In business since 2008, scaling multi-location brands across Australia
The template-pages problem
You have seen the pattern. A franchise brand has 40 locations. The agency builds 40 location pages. Each one is the same 800 words with the suburb name swapped, a Google Business Profile embedded, and the local phone number plugged in. The pages rank for a month, sometimes a quarter. Then a Google update lands and takes them all down at once, because near-identical pages with the suburb swapped are what Google's spam policies call doorway pages. Google has assessed helpfulness inside its core ranking systems since March 2024. Every core update now carries that risk.
This has now happened enough times that there is a graveyard of franchise websites whose "local SEO" was torpedoed in a single update. The template approach never worked well. Now it actively hurts. Proper deployment of Google's local-business structured data per location describes each location to Google, but it cannot rescue pages that are not genuinely distinct.
We built Locations Plus specifically because we watched one too many of these graveyards and decided the industry needed a better system. Our broader SEO services apply at the network level, but franchise networks need their own platform discipline. The difference is the content layer: suburb-specific references, local landmarks and locally relevant service variants, not one page with the suburb name swapped. No Locations Plus site has ever received a manual action from Google. We're upfront that pages at this scale can be affected by algorithm updates, so we assess the risk on every project and may recommend a separate domain. Over 900,000 pages are deployed across the network, and it suits franchise networks with 20 or more locations. Read more about Locations Plus.
How do you stop franchise locations competing with each other in Google?
A franchise network stops its locations competing in Google by giving each one a page Google can tell apart and keeping each to its own suburbs. That means one page per location with its own staff, services, photos and reviews; suburb lists that follow each territory without overlap; one Google Business Profile per location with matching name, address and phone; and internal links that point each suburb to one page.
What success looks like

For SILK Laser Clinics, a national clinic network expanding fast, the job was getting each new clinic into Maps and organic search without taking rankings from the clinics already open (see the SILK card).
For Motiv8sports, a children's sports franchise that grew from 3 to 31 locations and opened its first international franchise in Egypt, suburb-optimised landing pages and geo-budgeting rules drove ticket sales at scale. Local landing frameworks meant each location had its own search presence while the national brand stayed cohesive. Ticket sales reached 15,000+ per holiday period. Read the Motiv8sports case study.
At Jim's Group, the national franchise network, we moved Jim's Garage Doors' Google Ads traffic from generic national pages onto local pages built on our Locations Plus framework, and applied the same framework to Jim's IT. It was a Google Ads and Locations Plus result rather than organic SEO, and it shows what distinct location pages do for a franchise (see the Jim's Group card).
For Fox Mowing, a multi-state mowing and gardening franchise, the job was local SEO that worked suburb by suburb in every territory at once (see the Fox Mowing card).
Who we help with franchise SEO
Our franchise SEO services support networks at every stage, from first multi-location rollout to national expansion.
Why Sydney businesses choose us for franchise SEO

Head office wants the brand to rank nationally. Each franchisee wants the phone to ring in their suburbs. We plan both at once, so they help each other instead of competing, and we review the network every week. Paid search can pick up national brand searches while each location page wins its own suburbs.
92% combined client and staff retention
The strategist managing your franchise SEO in week one is usually the same person optimising it in month twelve. 92% combined client and staff retention means fewer handoffs, less knowledge lost and a team that knows your network. We're rated 4.8 on Google (read the reviews).
Built for networks, not single sites
We build frameworks designed for 10, 50, or 100+ locations with rules that prevent duplicate content, cannibalisation and brand dilution as you grow. We have used this approach for SILK Laser Clinics, Motiv8sports, Jim's Group divisions and Fox Mowing.
National strategy, local execution
We separate national and local SEO goals so they reinforce each other instead of competing. Location pages are designed for growth from day one with schema markup, suburb-level keyword targeting, and CRO best practices built in. Where networks need cross-channel demand capture, our Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and paid social teams plug into the same suburb-level architecture.
One report for head office, one for each franchisee
GA4 dashboards with call tracking and local attribution. Custom dashboards for individual franchisees, rollup reports for franchisors. Every change is tracked and tied to outcomes in plain English.

Our franchise SEO services
What does a franchise SEO agency do?
A franchise SEO agency makes every location in a network findable in its own suburbs while the brand ranks nationally. It plans which suburbs and services each territory targets, builds a distinct page and Google Business Profile for every location, sets rules so locations never compete for the same search, and reports results to head office and to each franchisee.

Multi-location keyword strategy
Keyword clustering by suburb and postcode. Service plus location modifiers mapped to each franchise territory. Ongoing audits to capture new opportunities as you expand.
Local landing pages at scale
Unique location pages with schema markup, Google Business Profile optimisation, and conversion-focused design. Content calendars built around franchise offers and seasonality. Each page is distinct enough to rank without creating duplicate content issues.
Technical SEO controls
Site speed optimisation, mobile-first fixes, indexing control, and brand protection against duplicate content. As your network grows, the technical foundation scales with it instead of breaking under the weight of new locations.
Content strategy for franchise networks
National content that builds domain authority paired with local content that captures suburb-level demand. Blog posts, service pages, and location pages all mapped to a unified content calendar that franchisees can contribute to without creating SEO conflicts.
Link building and local citations
National link building for domain authority plus location-specific citation building and local PR for each franchise territory. We manage the full backlink profile so individual franchisees benefit from the network effect.
How we run franchise SEO campaigns

1. Framework that scales with your franchise
Before any page is built, we decide which searches the brand page should win and which belong to each location, and write those rules down for the network.
2. Targeting that finds real customers
We map every territory's suburbs and services before we write a page, so no two locations chase the same search.
3. Content and pages that convert
Each location page is written from what is true of that location: its staff, its services, its suburbs and its reviews. You are involved here: collaborative sessions where franchisors feed back on which locations and services generate the best leads so we prioritise the content that drives revenue across the network.
4. Technical SEO that protects performance
We set the rules once, at network level, so a new location can't create duplicate pages or take a sister location's rankings.
5. A forward plan every month
Each month your franchise SEO team shows what moved at each location and agrees what comes next with head office.
What is included with our franchise SEO services
Every franchise SEO engagement includes the following, for the network and for each location.

Your franchise SEO timeline

Franchise SEO compounds over 12-18 months, not 90 days. The roadmap below is how we structure the network rebuild so the audit clears the damage, the platform deployment fixes the architecture, and the rest is brand-level authority feeding location-level visibility.
The network audit nobody's done.
We audit every location page on your site, every Google Business Profile in the network, every citation across every directory, and every review stream. In our experience, 30 to 50% of the Business Profiles in a typical franchise network have duplicate listings, incorrect categories or claim-status issues nobody at head office knew about.
We map the damage at the individual location level, then at the network level. You receive a written audit with a per-location remediation priority score.
The platform and content rebuild.
We rebuild the location-page architecture (deploying Locations Plus where the network's complexity warrants it, building custom where it does not), scope unique content for each location (real local references, actual local staff, real service variations by location), and fix the GBP stack systematically. This is the work that breaks the template pattern Google's core updates demote.
Franchisee onboarding sessions run in parallel, because the network's local relationships and content inputs are theirs, not ours. You sign off per-location content before anything goes live.
Authority at the brand level, visibility at the location level.
Central-brand content and authority building (PR, editorial, thought leadership) feeding location pages that now have unique content worth ranking. Review generation campaigns calibrated per franchisee volume. Local link building where it fits.
Map-pack movement typically starts showing per-location around months 3-5.
Scale and compound.
New-location onboarding becomes a repeatable workflow. Ongoing content expansion per suburb. Quarterly network-level strategy reviews. Franchisee-facing reporting that each location can see independently. Network-wide organic growth compounds over 12-18 months, and that is the horizon we build for.
Client results with a published case study link to it, and our published track record lists our credentials and client engagements, including our franchise work for Motiv8sports, which began in 2018, and Pro-Cut's multi-territory Locations Plus deployment.
Franchise SEO Pricing
Here’s what franchise SEO costs, for the network and for each location.

Who runs franchise SEO at Click Click Media?
Click Click Media runs franchise and multi-location SEO from its Norwest office, with Andrei Jach, York Feix and Keely Murphy on the work. The agency, in business since 2008, began working with Motiv8sports’ national franchise network in 2018 and built Locations Plus, the platform behind Pro-Cut Tree Services’ 300,000+ local pages in Melbourne. Network programmes start from $5,000 a month ex GST, or $1,500 a month per location.
Andrei Jach
Senior Manager | SEO and Analytics Specialist
Andrei has worked in digital marketing for over 15 years, seven of them at Click Click Media. He runs the SEO and analytics practice: technical audits, schema implementation, Search Console interpretation, and reporting that connects search performance to business outcomes. When a site loses rankings for a reason no one can identify, Andrei is the one who finds it.
York Feix
Senior SEO Manager | On-page and Off-page Specialist
York has 12 years in SEO and works on the layer most agencies underinvest in: the architecture underneath rankings. His focus is entity building, internal link structure, and digital PR. He wrote the internal linking framework CCM applies across client accounts. His off-page work targets authority signals that compound over time rather than spike and fade.
Keely Murphy
SEO Coordinator
Keely joined CCM in 2025 after a career in journalism and freelance writing. She holds a BA in Literature from Newcastle University in England. The SEO content she produces reads as it should: written for a person rather than a crawler, structured to match search intent, and specific enough to be useful once the reader lands. She handles content research, structure, and copy across SEO campaigns.
Franchise SEO FAQs
Common questions from franchise networks considering franchise SEO, whether the network is in Sydney or spread across several states.
What is franchise SEO?
Franchise SEO is the process of optimising multiple locations of a business to rank higher in local search results. This includes Google Business Profile optimisation, local keyword tracking, citation building, location-specific content creation, and reporting that shows visibility and leads for each franchise territory.
How much does franchise SEO cost in Sydney?
Most franchise networks we work with invest from $5,000 a month ex GST for network-level strategy and execution. Individual franchisee packages start from $1,500 a month per location ex GST, depending on industry, competition and number of sites. Every proposal is scoped after a free audit, and smaller jobs are quoted to fit the work.
How does franchise SEO differ from regular SEO?
Regular SEO focuses on a single website. Franchise SEO optimises multiple locations simultaneously, ensuring each ranks locally while supporting the national brand. It needs rules that prevent duplicate content, cannibalisation between locations, and brand dilution as the network grows.
How long does it take to see results from franchise SEO?
Most networks see map-pack movement per location around months 3 to 5. Month 1 is the network audit of every location page, Google Business Profile and citation; months 2 and 3 rebuild the location pages and fix the profiles; months 4 to 6 add brand-level authority and review campaigns. Network-wide organic growth compounds over 12 to 18 months, and new locations usually gain local traction within their first quarter.
Do you manage Google Business Profiles?
Yes. We optimise and manage the Google Business Profile for every location, from accurate citations and categories to review generation and regular updates, so each franchise outlet is accurately listed and easy to find in local searches.
Who should own a franchise location's Google Business Profile?
Head office should hold owner access to every location's Google Business Profile and give each franchisee manager access. That keeps the listing, its reviews and its ranking history with the brand when a franchisee sells or leaves, while the person on site still answers reviews and posts updates. Each profile needs the location's own address and phone number, matching the location page, or Google can merge or suspend listings.
Do you provide SEO for new franchise locations?
Yes. Click Click Media gives every new location its own page, Google Business Profile and suburb list at launch, built on the network's rules so it does not compete with a sister location. New locations usually gain local traction within their first quarter, and map-pack movement typically shows around months 3 to 5.
Can you handle franchise SEO for 100+ locations?
Yes. We have run multi-location SEO for SILK Laser Clinics, a network of 100+ clinics across multiple states, and Locations Plus, our multi-location platform, put 300,000+ local pages live for Pro-Cut Tree Services in Melbourne. Two Jim's Group divisions have used the same framework for paid search. Per-location rules, automated reporting and a content workflow franchisees contribute to keep every page distinct as the network grows.
Are contracts long-term?
No lock-in contracts. Just 30 days' notice if you ever want to leave. This applies to the network and to each franchisee package.
Do you take on smaller projects?
Our published prices are set for businesses competing seriously with real growth goals. We also take on smaller jobs, from quick ad-hoc fixes to small websites and startup campaigns, and we price them to fit the work. Ask us for a quote.
